- A TURNPIKE THEOREME FOR A FAMILY OF FUNCTIONS

We prove a uniform turnpike theorem for a family of optimal growth problems arising from a family offelicity functions. More precisely, we show that there exists a uniform d´ such that, for any problem inthe family, and for any d>=d´, the optimal path exhibits convergence to the steady state.Optimal Growth; Turnpike; Complicated Dynamics.

Timing of protectionism

Recent history gives us evidence of the different timing and results of the opening up of several economies. We present a model to explain this divergence. Accordingly with this evidence, we show that, provided the government prefers more competition than less competition irrespective of the .rms. nationality, essentially three concepts explain everything: The agent' degree of impatience, the gap between the domestic and the foreign technologies and the costs due to the political environment. In sharp contrast to the existing literature, we show that a temporal protectionism can be time consistent, and domestic firms adopt new technologies under it.Temporal Protectionism, Time Consistency, Bankruptcies

Stretchable Battery Structures

Stretchable energy storage have attracted growing attention with the fast development of stretchable electronics, implantable medical devices, and paper display devices. However, the need for research in stretchable electronics that can sustain large mechanical strains while still maintaining their function is highly needed. This project will focus on investigating different battery structures to create simple processes and designs for feasible scale up manufacturing. This project also describes the fabrication and characterization of stretchable and conductive polymer nanocomposites embedded with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and carbon black (CB) active materials for application of the anode in flexible lithium ion batteries

Overhead in available bandwidth estimation tools: Evaluation and analysis

Current Available Bandwidth Estimation Tools (ABET) insert into the network probing packets to perform a single estimation. The utilization of these packets makes ABET intrusive and prone to errors since they consume part of the available bandwidth they are measuring. This paper presents a comparative of Overhead Estimation Tools (OET) analysis of representative ABET: Abing, Diettopp, Pathload, PathChirp, Traceband, IGI, PTR, Assolo, and Wbest. By using Internet traffic, the study shows that the insertion of probing packets is a factor that affects two metrics associated to the estimation. First, it is shown that the accuracy is affected proportionally to the amount of probing traffic. Overhead in Available Bandwidth Estimation Tools: Evaluation and Analysis

The current Available Bandwidth Estimation Tools (ABET's) to perform an estimation, using probes packets are inserted into the network. The utilization These packages, makes ABET's are intrusive and consumes part of which is measuring bandwidth to noise known as "Overhead Estimation Tools" (OET); it’s can produce negative effects on measurements performed by the ABET. This paper presents a complete and comparative analysis of behavior of Available Bandwidth (av_bw), of the ABET's most representative, as well as: Abing, Diettopp, Pathload, PathChirp, Traceband, IGI, PTR, Assolo and Wbest. The study with real Internet traffic, shows the percentage of test that is a factor packets affecting two main aspects of the estimation. The first, the accuracy, and increased indicating that EOT is directly proportional to the percentage of RE, reaching up to 70% in the tool evaluated with most of 30% of Cross-Traffic (CT). And second, the techniques used to send probes packets highly influences the Estimation Time (ET), where some tools that use slops spend up to 240s to converge when there is 60% CT in the network, ensuring that the estimate this technique av_bw highly congested channel, OET as much is used, resulting in inaccuracies in measurement

Available Bandwidth Estimation Tools Metrics, Approaches and Performance

The estimation of the available bandwidth (av bw) between two end nodes through the Internet, is an area that has motivated researchers around the world in the last twenty years, to have faster and more accurate tools; Due to the utility it has in various network applications; Such as routing management, intrusion detection systems and the performance of transport protocols. Different tools use different estimation techniques but generally only analyze the three most used metrics as av bw, relative error and estimation time. This work expands the information regarding the evaluation literature of the current Available Bandwidth Estimation Tools (ABET’s), where they analyze the estimation techniques, metrics, different generation tools of cross-traf?c and evaluation testbed; Concentrating on the techniques and estimation methodologies used, as well as the challenges faced by open-source tools in high-performance networks of 10Gbps or higher

Estrategia de marketing para la comercialización del destino turístico Jama, Manabí

The purpose of this research is to address the marketing strategies for the commercialization of the Jama tourist destination in the province of Manabí, Ecuador. The methodological design used was descriptive, quantitative-qualitative, since a Likert scale questionnaire and an interview with the mayor of the Decentralized Autonomous Government were applied. The main results found are that 47.9% stated they fully agree that the offer of tourist products: sun and beach, archeology, sports, culture, gastronomy; attract visitors. For this reason, 43.8% consider that Jama should be a tourist destination with a city brand image. And for this, 52.1% think that the use of digital platforms would be the appropriate tools to market this tourist destination. It is established that consumers of the Jama destination, due to its tourism products, can become a tourist power after the passage of the pandemic.La presente investigación tiene como finalidad, abordar las estrategias de marketing para la comercialización del destino turístico Jama en la provincia de Manabí, Ecuador. El diseño metodológico utilizado fue de tipo descriptivo, cuantitativo-cualitativo, ya que se aplicaron un cuestionario de escala de Likert y una entrevista al alcalde del Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado. Los principales resultados encontrados son que el 47,9% manifestaron estar totalmente de acuerdo en que la oferta de los productos turísticos: sol y playa, arqueología, deportes, cultura, gastronomía; atraen a los visitantes. Por ello el 43,8% consideran que Jama debe ser un destino turístico con una imagen de marca ciudad.  Y para ello el 52,1% piensa que el uso de las plataformas digitales seria las herramientas adecuadas para comercializar este destino turístico. Queda establecido que los consumidores del destino Jama, por sus productos turísticos, pueden llegar a convertirse en una potencia turística luego del paso de la pandemia
